            Chinese College Students' Entrepreneurial

Capital and Its Impact on Their Entrepreneurial Intentions

——An Analysis with the Mediation Effect Model Based on Psychological Capital

                           Wei Guojiang

Abstract: Entrepreneurship is an important approach to social progress and development, and college students' entrepreneurship serves as an important means of popularizing new technology, resolving the bottleneck in social resources, and achieving high-quality development. Entrepreneurship is premised on entrepreneurial capital and entrepreneurial intentions. A questionnaire-based survey indicates that China's college students showed a high level of entrepreneurial capital and entrepreneurial intentions, especially the boy students, those majoring in science and engineering, and those in Central China, compared with the girl students, those majoring in liberal arts, and those in Eastern and Western China, respectively. An empirical research based on the mediation effect model reveals that psychological capital, the core of entrepreneurial capital, directly affects college students' entrepreneurial intentions, and indirectly affects their entrepreneurial intentions through the traditional financial capital, human capital and social capital. To improve the entrepreneurship education for China's college students, we are supposed to impart entrepreneurship knowledge to them, attach importance to the cultivation of their psychological capital and the development of their human capital and social capital, and create an entrepreneurial atmosphere of encouraging innovations and allowing failure.
